MORALISM VERSUS RELATIONSHIP

Ek is op reis. Selfs my bestemming is vir my onseker. Ek sou dit met baie Bybelse woorde kon beskryf, maar selfs daardie woorde sou net ‘n vae beskrywing wees van waarheen ek regtig op pad is. In my op reis wees neem ek dikwels ander mense se woorde as rigtingwysers. Een van hulle is Leonard Sweet. Ek haal vanoggend ‘n stuk van Leonard Sweet aan uit “Out of the Question  – Into the Mystery.:

“Biblical faith is not about living a moral life. Thats religion. Biblical faith is not about living the “good life”. That’s capitalism. Biblical faith is about living the GodLife. An abundant life with the living God is living in a GodLife relationship.

Obedience, in the biblical sense is not “doing what you are told.”
